“Do you regret us being together?”

I wanted to make a simple film about love - the memory of it, the ordinariness of it, the bittersweetness of it. I wanted to do it in a way that felt intimate not just for the characters, but for the viewers as well. I also wanted to make a film that would hopefully get people to start having conversations. I talk a bit more about that on the next page.

Small as this film is in the grand scheme of things, I am proud of it. I’m proud of what we were able to accomplish. I’m also proud of myself for giving myself permission to try.

I don’t know how far this film will go, or if it’ll go far at all. If you’ve taken the time to watch it, I’d like to say thank you for making space for us. I hope Michael and Grace stay with you in a beautiful way.
